Clean Slate Clinic
The People’s Justice Project, in partnership with California Rural Legal Assistance
and San Luis Obispo College of Law, offers a Clean Slate Clinic. The purpose of the Clean Slate Clinic is to help eliminate a barrier to employment
and housing for individuals who have criminal records. A criminal record—no matter
how old or how minor—can be a significant barrier to reentry for people when most
employers, property managers, and universities use background checks to screen applicants.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (805) 902-CRLA (2752).
San Luis College of Law College of Law does not pay any fees to the government.
Our community legal clinics are supported by grants and individual donations. We thank our funders for their support. If you would like to support this program, please CLICK HERE.
