Admitted in 1989; civil litigation with an emphasis on property, contract, and collections
work. More and more transactional work as I enter into my fourth decade of practice.
While in Los Angeles , I was able to volunteer as a judge pro tem in traffic, small
claims, and civil court proceedings, which really benefitted my skill set and something
I recommend to anyone interested; being the "decider" opens one's eyes to what tends
to matter in a disputed case. I came to teaching only recently. It's great. The students
are impressive and full of surprises and having to explain complicated legal principles
has made me a better lawyer (sure hope the students feel the same way . . . )
Course typically taught: Property, SLOCL since the 2018-2019 term; also, in 2021-2022,
Hybrid Property online course.
