Emily graduated Cum Laude from University of California, San Diego in 1981.  She graduated First in class earning her J.D from Monterey College of Law in 2000.  Emily has been teaching at Monterey College of Law since 2003. 

Emily is an Attorney, Mediator, and Collaborative Professional. She is a Member/Treasurer of Collaborative, Arbitration, Mediation Professionals. She has served as President at both Santa Cruz County Bar Association and the Monterey County Bar Associations. Emily is a member of Santa Cruz County Law Library Member, Women Lawyers of Santa Cruz County Member and the Santa Cruz County Trial Lawyers Association
