Cathy Bennett

Cathy serves the law school in three capacities: as an Associate Dean of the law schools and the law schools' Director of Legal Writing.  She serves as the Academic Dean at the Kern County Campus. She also serve as a Professor of Legal Writing both at the Kern County Campus and in the Hybrid Program. As an Associate Dean and Director of Legal Writing, her role is to support curriculum development, and lead development of the writing curriculum, and assist as necessary for accreditation.  As Academic Dean at Kern County College of Law, she serve as the lead academic advisor to students in the Greater Bakersfield area and assists the campus dean as needed, including with faculty recruitment.  Finally, as Professor of Legal Writing, she teach students the fundamentals of legal analysis, legal writing, and good writing, to help them develop into professional legal writers.
